Bridge Run and Fun Walk is a joint venture between the rehab providers of Bay County and Gulf Coast Community College to promote National Rehabilitation Awareness Week. All proceeds will go Second Chance of Northwest Florida, Inc., a non-profit organization serving the needs of adults with brain injuries and their families.
The start/finish line will be at Carl Grey Park. It will be an out and back across Hathaway Bridge. All participants will receive a t-shirt. There will be live entertainment and vendors at the finish line. Lunch is provided after the race. Entry Fee: 5K run fee $25 if received by September 23, $30 on race day. 1 mile fun run/walk $10, $15 race day. Packet pick-up and registration begins at 8 am on race day at Carl Grey Park. These meetings will serve to collect public input for changes that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) may make to the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The Project Priorities will be discussed at these meetings. The public may weigh in with their opinion on the Project Priorities list and potentially change the ordering of this list. This list will then be given to FDOT where it is used to develop the TIP. This TIP will organize how and when transportation improvement funds will be used in the County. This money may be used for road improvements, public transit or adding capacity to existing road segments.

Beads for Life is an organization that helps Ugandan women who live on $1 a day raise themselves and their families out of poverty. The women make beautiful, vividly colored beads out of recycled paper and then sell them. The proceeds of the sales go back to the women and their villages to provide food, shelter, education, and health assistance.
