Headlining performer announced for Bay Med’s Society Gala

Panama City – Gathered in the nearly-complete patient tower, Officials from Bay Medical announced the headlining act for their 25th anniversary Society Gala.
Still wearing a hard hat, Gala Chairman Rodney Morris, M.D., grinned proudly as he announced that this year’s entertainment will feature Las Vegas headliner Gordie Brown.
Brown has been voted Nevada’s “Entertainer of the Year,” and also received awards for “Best comedian,” “Best Show,” and “Best Entertainer.” His acts typically include music and comedy, and an array of celebrity impressions.
It’s hoped that the November 19 gala will raise $200,000 or more to help equip the new 144-bed Patient tower. On-time and under-budget so far, the grand opening for the patient tower is scheduled for September 8th, with the first patients moving in on September 9th.
Every one of the rooms in the new tower will be private, and each has a view. Many of the more clinical aspects common to a hospital room are tucked away, and there are even family areas where those visiting relatives can relax. Just off where the new cafeteria will be, a “Healing Garden” offers patients and visitors a natural area to help them unwind.

Bay Medical does their employees very wrong...They have a habit of sweeping the truth under the rug.The adminstrators could care less about the nurses or the patients..Seeing it first hand on the floor its a disgrace to healthcare..Overloading nurses and CNA's with more patients then they are suppose to handle and calling nurses off when the census calls for it..They would rather save 50 cents then make a patient happier or more comfortable
Let's think about what is not being said. A friend's wife is being laid off by Bay Med so they can afford this building. It cost a lot more than they had, so, they are firing nurses to pay for it. Makes GOOD sense doesn't it. Patients will have a view, but, a nurse will be by to see them about every 4 hours.
Too bad Bay Medical Center makes their annual gala so expensive that 99% of the hospital's employees cannot attend. I guess they don't want the commoners playing in their high-society sand box.
