I was just reading about a young man named Rajaan Bennett. He's from Georgia and he was killed on Feb 18th by his mother's ex-boyfriend. I won't go into the entire story (you can google his name and read about it) but he was said to be an outstanding young man, and a gifted football player headed to play at Vanderbilt and one day be an architect.
He was gunned down in his home because his mother had broken up with the gunman, but why?
Why did he feel the need to take another man's life? The gunman eventually killed himself because he was not man enough to spend the rest of his life in jail, but why did he have to take an innocent man's life first?
Violence has gone too far in this country, everyday there's a hundred stories like this, and I always have the same question, WHY?
I know we don;t have the answers but I think it's time we started to ask how can we make this world a better place! I know I don't have it figured out but one day hopefully these stories will cease to exist, HOPEFULLY!
