Weather Radio

We are 39 days from the start of hurricane season.  To help get you and your family ready the NewsChannel 7 is teaming up with Midland Weather Radios and Publix to offer NOAA Weather Radios on sale for $29.99 at area Publix locations.

Each Thursday over the next 4 weeks we will be live at a Publix store where we will be to program it for you.

April 26th 650 West 23rd Street, Panama City, FL

May 3rd 11240 Back Beach Road, Panama City Beach, FL

May 10th 2310 S Hwy 77, Lynn Haven, FL

May 17th 2419 Thomas Drive, Panama City, FL

I will do the weather live at 5/6.  We should be there programming the radios between 4:30p-6:45p.

The Midland All Hazards Alert Weather Radio features:

  • S.A.M.E. Localized reception
  • 7 N.O.A.A. Channels
  • Digital front panel display
  • 25 Programmable Counties
  • User selectable warning system including Amber and Homeland security alerts
  • Choice of Voice, Siren, or Tone Alert.
  • Time & Alarm Clock with full display
  • Emergency power back-up, uses 3 AA Batteries(not included)
  • AC Wall Adapter Included
  • Public Alert Certified

These radios are vital... just like a smoke detector in your home.  When severe weather threatens your county the radio will sound an alarm to alert you.  This is especially valuable at night and of course during hurricanes when we may be without power.

So, start getting ready for hurricane season with a Midland NOAA Weather Radio from Publix.

See you Thursday!

Sorry you were disappointed, but a few more bucks for batteries for a $30 item does not seem excessive to me. Especially since most items that need batteries do not include them. Get some batteries from home and come out to Lynn Haven or Thomas Drive over the next couple weeks. Have a great weekend!
