A few years ago I met a precious little girl named Hannah Finch at a Shriner's Christmas party.  She has to wear special braces in her shoes so that her bones grow normally.  We share a love for music and I even have the pleasure of singing one of her favorite Christmas songs with her at this year's Shriners party.  Hannah has to be the most unselfish little girl I've ever known.  She was told by the Shriners Hospital in Tampa that they have a special deal with soda companies and every tab collected will help raise money for sick children.

Hannah, who is now 6 years old, made it her mission to collect 1-million tabs to help as many children as she can.  A few weeks ago she met that goal. In fact she's 500,000 over that goal and is now hoping to collect 2-million before she heads back to the hospital in February.  She wants to present the tabs to the hospital at that time.   I've been asked to tag along with Hannah and tour this amazing hospital and be there when she makes her big presentation.

Hannah would like to thank everyone who has donated tabs and asks that you continue to save your tabs and help her reach her new goal.

Thank you, Hannah, for having such a profound effect on my life and so many others.

Bay County Annual Contract teachers-Little girls/boys who grow up and are educated in Bay County go to college to become teachers only to be forsaken by questionable leadership in Bay County. What is up with the Bay County School Board and or Bay County Commisioners.? Are they suppressing public information..? A short while ago Bay Co. received 9-million dollar in 'stimulis' monies via the State of FL. They(BCSB)had just cut 4.1 million dollars from Bay County's School Budget and soon after layed-off a lot of teachers. Gov. Crist emphasized 4-times that the monies were specifically inteneded to keep teachers employed. Annual-contract teachers NEED to be retained as well and their probationary period terms need to be changed to clarify their tenure opportunities. They are Bay County's future. A efficient teacher is a happy one. I am a home owner who pays taxes and expect quality education for our kids. The public trust is only earned. Perhaps a BCSB overhaul is needed.PLEASE INQUIRE

What an amazing story and little girl! I work with the little hero's project, and I offer free photography to all kids who are special either due to sickness, or any kind of birth defect. I would love an e-mail so I can offer my services to her. Nicole Everson Photography
