Hello everyone,

What a difference a day can make.  We're starting off this morning with temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s...some 20 to 30 degrees below where they were this time yesterday.  Fortunately, the threat for severe weather has exited the area leaving only a slight chance for a shower this morning then mostly cloudy conditions for this afternoon.  Just off to our north, folks in central and even southern parts of Alabama are seeing some snow.  Hard to believe on this first day of March.  Expect highs today to mainly top out in the mid 40s with northwest winds at 20 mph and gusting to near 35.  The wind will make it feel even colder with wind chills in most spots in the 30s.  Tonight will get even colder with lows in the mid 20s to low 30s under partly cloudy skies.  Northwest winds at 10 to 15 will finally calm down to around 5 late.  A light freeze is possible Monday morning.

For next week, expect lots of sun to return with just a few clouds here and there.  Temps will slowly be on a warming trend throughout the week with highs starting off in the 50s and back in the 70s by Thursday.
