DETROIT (AP) -- General Motors Corp. is looking at selling and leasing back some of its non-manufacturing operations in Europe in an effort to raise cash.
The company's European division is asking real estate agent Jones Lang LaSalle for its help in identifying potential buyers.
"Investigations are under way as to what would be viable," says Denis Chick, spokesman for GM's United Kingdom and Ireland division.
According to Chick, properties in the U.K. that could be sold include its headquarters in Luton, a parts warehouse in Luton and an engineering site in Millbrook.
