A Massachusetts man, who set out on a charity bike ride from Alaska, is ending his trek in Panama City.
It took Stephen Laskey 118 days to ride his bicycle from Fairbanks, Alaska to Florida.
He Crossed the 5,000 mile mark in Destin. At first, the trip was a personal challenge for Laskey, but once his plans were set, he decided to try and raise money for charity.
He chose Lance Armstrong's "Live-Strong" foundation which helps fight cancer.
"I've had family members and certain loved ones that I'm riding for," Laskey said. "They kind of want to keep things a little private but that's definitely in my drive and that's what made the trip a lot more meaningful."
Laskey plans to catch a plane back to his home in Boston. He says he
hopes to write a book about his experiences. Laskey is also still currently raising money for Live-Strong.
