It’s time again for the ultimate reality show that highlights the consequences of good and bad decisions made by teens. The House Of Horrors And Happiness is sponsored by the Freedom 180 Abstinence Education Program at The Bay County Health Department.
This event is an effort to reach teenagers across our community about abstaining from drugs, alcohol, violence, premarital sexual activity and other risky behavior. This event will be held Friday, Jan. 23rd, at 7 p.m.
Teens will witness life stories and shocking statistics. They will see the reality of life and death consequences of irresponsible activities and behavior. There will be several rooms which focus on the major challenges faced by teens, including drugs, smoking, suicide, sex, gangs and a DUI crash with a fatality.
The focus of the message will be on risks individuals take and their consequences. The physical, mental, emotional and social abuse teens suffer will also be addressed. Youth team members will use dramatic life scenes, props and other visual aids to present this message.
Event takes place: Friday, January 23, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Panama City Marine Institute (PCMI) at 222 East Beach Dr.
Some scenes may be too intense for younger children so this free event is recommended for ages 11 and up. It will take approximately ten minutes to view the entire event however there may be some waiting time.
