Local Teacher Selected as Outstanding VIP of the Year

Therese Devine, a teacher at New Horizons Learning Center, was chosen this year as an Outstanding VIP of the Year representing Professionals in the Education Industry by Cambridge Who's Who, a business and professional publication and online guide.

She will be featured on company’s Web site and on the front of its yearly publication.

Her expertise is in reading instruction and mentoring students and teachers. She is a national trainer for the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, a Content Area Reading Professional Development facilitator for Just Read, Florida and the school representative for the Bay County Reading Association.

Each year Cambridge publishers reevaluate the credentials of 250,000 members from company database. From each of 100 industries listed, 10 males and 10 females are selected. These selected individuals have demonstrated dedication to the particular industry, longevity, ambition for pursuing higher education, strong managerial skills and community service
