Baytowne Wharf Beer Festival at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort today announced additions to the popular line up of events at the Village of Baytowne Wharf this October 16 and 17.
Known as the “Best Beer Fest on the Emerald Coast,” the popular festival provides the opportunity for participants to learn about the lagers and ales from on-site brewery representatives.
Friday, Oct. 16
“Beer U,” a fun beer seminar at Graffiti & the Funky Blues Shack in the Village starts at 6pm. This entertaining and informative session will feature several specialty beers for sampling as well as educate on the brewing process and include tips for food pairings. Tickets for Beer U at Graffiti are $13.
Friday evening also includes the outdoor presentation of the craft beer documentary “Beer Wars” at 7:30 in the events plaza.
Finish off Friday night with the Baytowne Beer Tour. Grab a passport from participating bars and restaurants in the Village and search for the mystery beer. Tour Baytowne, sample brews, and get passport stamps at each stop for a chance to win prizes at the craft beer tasting on Saturday.
Saturday, Oct. 17
More than 100 domestic and international beers will be available for participants to taste from 2 to 7 p.m. Beer novices to beer lovers will be able to sample domestic and international options, including specialty, seasonal and not-yet-released beers.
Lumpy’s Wine Bar will be open from 12-9 pm for the purchase of these unique beers.
In addition to the beer festival, “Vettes at the Village,” a public exhibit of Corvettes of many years, colors and styles will be on display on the Grand Lawn Saturday from 12-5 pm.
