Ft. Walton Accepting Vendor Applications for Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration

The City of Fort Walton Beach is currently accepting exhibitor/vendor applications for the 2010 Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration at the Fort Walton Landing on Friday, April 16, 2010. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Each year, over 1,200 children and several hundred adults attend the festival at the Landing. The Earth Day/Arbor Day event is designed to promote environmental awareness and provide an opportunity for our community to learn how we can live in a more ecologically sustainable fashion. The Earth Day Celebration features art, educational displays, hands on demonstrations, giveaways, and other activities for all to enjoy!

Updated: 07/10/2012 - Panama City - School doesn't start for another several weeks, but a Panama City Rescue Mission program that helps students in need get ready for the new year is already busy getting families signed up. New this year, "Klothes for Kids" is doing on-site registration at places like Girls Inc. and the Boys and Girls Club. That makes it even easier for families to get the help they need.
