Panama City, FL – Boundless Sounds, the student-led record label of GCCC’s Music Production Program, will hold their first annual CD release party Saturday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. The featured band is “Save the Ship,” a local band with a melodic alternative sound.

The public is invited to come out for a meet and greet with members of the band. Special edition pre-release copies of the album will be given away as door prizes and students of the Music Production Technology program will be giving tours of their recording studio in the Amelia Center. There will be no admission at the door.

Selections will be played from their album titled, “To Form a New Compound.” The seven original songs feature lyrics of unflinching honesty and deeply personal emotion. They have been likened to Coldplay or U2, stylistically drifting comfortably between ballads of great poignancy and guitar-driven rock.

The student record label is also now accepting proposals for its next recording project. A selection will be made by late May and the project will be recorded during the next academic year. The application and rules are posted online at www.gulfcoast.edu.
