Bay County Veterans Day Parade in Panama City
Posted: 11/12/2012 - Continuing the recognition of local men and women in uniform, Bay County's annual Veterans Day parade takes place in downtown Panama City Monday.

This weekend pets and pet owners will be taking a bite out of cancer for the very first "Bark for Life." This is an American Cancer Society event designed especially for dog lovers.
American Cancer Society's "1st Annual Bark for Life", will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at NaJu’s Dog Park in Callaway. (Exact location at bottom of story) Those who register will receive a complimentary scarf for their dog!
Saturday’s event will be filled with lots of fun activities for you and your pet, including:
-Walk a Mini-relay course (leash & shot record required)
-Enjoy a Canine carnival-like atmosphere with Music, Food, Entertainment, Micro-chipping & Grooming demonstrations
- Win Prizes for dog contests: Look-a-like, costume, largest, smallest, & oldest
-Raffle for oil portrait of pet with or without owner by nationally renowned graphic artist (value $700 - $900)

NaJu’s dog park was created nearly a decade ago, for doggy socialization. Customers can become members and use the park on a daily basis; pet owners can bring their animals to the park and let their pets roam five acres of activities at the park including: two ponds for swimming and playing; agility equipment; large piles of sand for digging and lots more!
For all pet owners who register for Saturday’s event, they will receive $50 gift card to Planet Beach Spa in Lynn Haven. Pet owners will also have a chance to win a personal oil painting of he or she and their pet’s from a local artist.
