A group of Bay High School students are now suspended after beating up another Bay student.
Some said the fight was gang related, and the gang members who beat up the student plan to bring guns to school Friday morning and shoot all the kids they don't want on campus.
The school's resource officer, along with sheriff's investigators, have been working the case and say they have yet to confirm any of the students claims, but that doesn't mean school and sheriff's officials are not concerned.
"We don't discourage students or parents coming forward. We understand that, and we've responded to that by conducting this investigation. We will be on campus with extra deputies and do all we can to ensure the safety of the kids," says Ruth Sasser, Bay County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.
School Superintendent James McCalister says Bay High will not be on lockdown, but sheriff's deputies will remain on campus until the supposed threat is over.
