The Washington County School District has come to terms with a teacher that filed a discrimination claim against them this past April.
After a 23 and 7 season and a trip to the regional semi-final, first year basketball coach Tony Davis was fired from his coaching duties at Chipley High, but school officials allowed him to continue teaching.
Davis filed a discrimination suit against the school district. The case was scheduled to go before a hearing officer Monday, but that hearing did not happen.
Davis and the Washington County school district have settled the case. Neither side will reveal the details of the settlement, but we do know Davis resigned from the school system last Friday.
