Husfelt Selects James McCalister For Principal At Jinks Middle School

Outgoing Bay County School Superintendent James McCalister knows what his new assignment will be when he leaves office in a week.

Superintendent-elect Bill Husfelt has asked McCalister to become the principal at Jinks Middle School. That's the job he had when he became School Superintendent in 2000.

Husfelt defeated McCalister for the Superintendent's job last week.

Superintendent-elect Bill Husfelt told NewsChannel 7, Anna McClain, the present Jinks principal will move over to Callaway as acting principal and then in December she will go to Bay High as acting principal.

Husfelt says Mrs. McClain will fill principal vacancies as they occurred as some administrators are taking advantage of the drop program. After that she will be assigned as a permanent principal at a still-to-be-named school.

Husfelt also says Peggy Bunch will become the interim Principal at Boseman replacing Sandy Harrison who moved to Mosley last week.

All of the moves become effective with school board approval on November 19th, the day after Husfelt takes office as superintendent.
