Twenty school district employees received tuition assistance scholarships from the Bay Education Foundation for the Spring 2009 semester.
Scholarship recipients range from clerical staff and paraprofessionals working on four year degrees to technical administrators seeking computer certifications to teachers completing graduate and specialist degrees.
As a partner in this program, Florida State University- Panama City provides funding to students to purchase books for the classes they attend at those campuses.
To date, the Foundation has committed $100,000 to the Employee Tuition Assistance program. More than 250 employees have benefited from this program.
