An increasing number of American students are attending private universities abroad, and not just for the prestige--but to save money too.
It seems to be a win-win for both sides.
The University of St. Andrews in Scotland is recruiting "Ivy League Status" American students who will get a prestigious education at a cost about equal to out-of-state tuition at a top U.S. public university.
In exchange, American students help diversify the school.
And of course overseas universities need American money, since many of the local students pay little or no tuition at all.
