Bay County Educators are traveling to Tallahassee next Wednesday to urge legislators to make schools a priority. The Florida Parent Teachers Association is organizing the rally. Association of Bay County Educators Spokesperson Brian Phillips is expecting at least 50 teachers and support personnel to make the trip.
"This is quite frankly a problem and it's a problem because your state legislators have decided they're not going to adequately fund education in the State of Florida. That's the bottom line. I hate to say it, but it's true," said Brian Phillips, Association of Bay Co. Educators.
After the rally, ABCE officials plan to continue their efforts by lobbying our local legislators.
