Panama City- On Wednesday we told you about the Bay County School Board's priority list for buidling rennovations, should voters approve the proposed half cent sales tax later this year. Board members, and school superintendent Bill Husfelt have suggested they might cut property taxes if the sales tax passes.

On Thursday Husfelt went further, saying he is already planning to recommend the board cut property taxes by .173, before the sales tax issue even goes to a vote. "So I'm going out there on that proverbial limb regardless of what happens because once I make that recommendation I can't go back and change it no matter what happens with the referendum."

Even at the current 1.173, Bay County's school millage rate is one of the lowest in the panhandle.

Run this guy out of town! NO one from the school system should be elected School Superintendent. He is the result! Get an outside person with with an education other than a teaching certificate.
