Not too many more days before school bells will be ringing all over our area. Kids will be heading back to the classroom, but many of them would be empty handed if it weren’t for a local program that's making a difference.

For the 12th year McDonald’s, NewsChannel Seven and Clearchannel Radio are sponsoring the "For Children School Supply Drive.”

In past years the drive has provided more than 1,200 local children with pencils, paper and other supplies.

The school supply drive distribution is being held at Palo Alto Church of Christ Saturday, starting at seven in the morning. The drive will continue until all the school supplies are gone.

You'll want to get there early because every year there's a line of people before the distribution of the school supplies even begins.
