Local Teachers Certificate Permanently Revoked

The state has permanently revoked the teaching certificate of a former Arnold High School physical education teacher.

Don Biggs, who retired from Arnold a year ago, was accused of inappropriate behavior with a female student. On more than one occasion Biggs made sexually suggestive remarks to a female student.

This happened during the 2009-2010 school year. The year before, Biggs had slapped a male student for tickling another student.

The veteran teacher decided against contesting the allegations, leading to the permanent revocation.

It's sad to hear this because he was such an incredible teacher. He was misunderstood and has been through so much in his life. My fellow classmates and I wish him the best in life.
