Students Receive Letter From President Obama

Students at a local Panama City school received a special letter this week.

The students at the Panama City Advanced School wrote a letter in February to President Barack Obama about the rebellion in Syria and the impact it was having on them. The 6th to 10th graders wrote 5 letters in total to the President.

According to the teacher, Jane Fletcher, the students felt compelled to write to the President because of their ties to the area, "They have the concerns about Syria a lot of them have family and relatives there so it's just been a really, it's been on their hearts and on their minds."
