Superintendent Names New Principal of Rutherford High School

Bay County Superintendent Bill Husfelt will recommend to the School Board for approval Lennis Coy Pilson as the next principal of Rutherford High School. He will assume this leadership role on July 1, 2012 upon the retirement of current principal, Michael Kennedy.

Pilson has served as an administrator at A. Crawford Mosley High School since 2010. He began his teaching career in 1994 and was appointed to his first administrative position in 2002. He has been an educator and administrator at middle schools and high schools in various locations in Virginia, Florida and California as he moved around the country with his wife who is an officer in the United State Air Force.

He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with Bachelor of Arts and Master's of Teaching degrees. Pilson also completed an Educational Specialist degree at George Washington University.
