The Impact of of the Affordable Care Act

The Bay County League of Women Voters will be presenting the impact of the ACA and the impact of its removal on patients with pre-existing illnesses and the elderly and the healthy. We will discuss and attempt to explain premium increases, potential subsidy decreases, removing the insurance mandate, and possible tax repeal impact. We have invited a medical provider, a patient, an insurance agent, a navigator, and Congressman Dunn's office to try to present a well-rounded discussion. The League will also give an objective summary of the pros and cons of ACA change and or repeal. We will take questions from the audience after the forum. We welcome and seek any publicity, opportunity to speak about the forum on the air and your station's coverage the night of the event.

This workshop meets the U.S. Coast Guard training requirements for drill conductors on commercial fishing vessels and is free for commercial fishermen.
