Shelly Campbell joined WJHG as the Jackson County Bureau reporter in January 2017.
Before joining Newschannel 7, she interned at WESH 2 News, the NBC affiliate in Orlando. She graduated in December 2016 from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television and a minor in Political Science.
While at UCF, she worked as a reporter for UCF Knightly News. She covered several political rallies during the 2016 election season including visits by Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Marco Rubio, to name a few.
When she’s not working, you can find Shelly visiting with family, watching Hallmark movies, or taking a nap.
She grew up in Crestview, so she’s no stranger to northwest Florida. She’s excited to start her career in an area she considers home.
