SOUTH WALTON, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Will 30A soon have another outlet for traffic to Highway 98?
Walton County commissioners are looking into just that.
At Tuesday's County Commission meeting, the board hosted a public hearing to decide if they want to move forward with plans for a South Walton connector road study.
The board agreed to contract Atkins North America Incorporated for nearly $600,000 to provide a professional design and engineering study.
"This is that overarching study that really puts stuff on paper that says, 'This is feasible, this isn't. If it is, here are the impacts and here is what it costs,'" Walton County Information Manager Louis Svehla explained.
Once the study is complete, it will be brought back in front of commissioners for further consideration.
