PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Some seniors left the house to boogie down to live music at the Winter Resident Senior Prom Tuesday night.

It was the seventh annual senior prom hosted by Visit Panama City Beach.

More than 700 men and women put on their best prom attire and cut a rug at the Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort in Panama City Beach.

For the first time, two couples were crowned Prom King and Queen. Bob and Rita Landstoffer along with Dan and Paulette Oswiecinski took home the crowns.

"We actually have several of our reigning kings and queens here. That's always been a real fun part of this, is to have somebody recognize the outstanding winter couple that is here," Bill Poteet, Visitor Information Specialist with the Convention and Visitor's Bureau said, "and it's usually a couple that gets around to a lot of winter events."

However, organizers did announce this will be the last year they will crown a Prom Queen and King. The theme for the night was Motown.
