Panama City leaders meet for 2018 goals session

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City leader met Tuesday to talk about goals for the year.

City commissioners heard from leaders of several city departments at the Marina Civic Center. One of the speakers was Panama City Police Chief Scott Ervin.

He says the department plans to continue its hiring efforts.

Chief Ervin also mentioned the department has plans to restart the traffic unit and community services unit.

"They'll focus on each ward. Each ward has its own set of issues or concerns that the citizens have," Chief Ervin said, "crime trends that are occurring even though some may be city wide some things are specific to certain areas."

Locals are invited to attend another goals session on March 14th at eight a.m.
