PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Graduation ceremonies in Bay County will soon begin and for some, they'll be the first to have their ceremony at the new Tommy Oliver Stadium in Panama City.

Tuesday, Bay District Schools officials, donors, and locals attended the ceremony where they got an up-close look at the new stadium.

School leaders describe it as a state-of-the-art sports stadium complete with a large scoreboard, an eight-lane rubberized track, a new concessions area, and locker rooms.

Tommy Oliver Stadium will be used by Rutherford, Mosley, Bay High schools, and at times North Bay Haven.

The newly built stadium cost more than $11 million.

Three graduation ceremonies will take place at Tommy Oliver in May.
