9th-cent and local option fuel tax renewed in Walton County

WALTON COUTNY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - As the Panhandle grows and more tourist visit our area, the amount of volume contributes to the constant wear and tear on our bridges and roads.

That's why Tuesday, Walton County Commissioners voted to renew a 9th cent and Local Option Fuel Tax.

The tax has been in place for the past 10 years and will not increase.

Money generated from the tax is designated exclusively for transportation expenditures, such as maintenance, paving, equipment, and bridges.
