PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - Good Tuesday morning! Today is Christmas present exchange day and you'll need to grab the jacket if you're heading out to brave the malls. After starting near freezing in most of Northwest Florida, our temperatures will get to about 60 degrees today under mostly sunny skies.
More clouds will fill out our skies overnight tonight as a cold front makes its way closer to us. A spotty shower cannot be ruled out tonight, although, most of the shower activity will occur tomorrow afternoon under cloudy skies.
An area of disturbed weather will greet us behind this cold front, so we will have a cold, cloudy, and rainy trend through Thursday.
Our skies will begin to clear out during the day on Friday, leaving sunny skies for Saturday.
As we head into New Years Eve, around midnight, a strong cold front will move in. This will bring a chance for showers overnight Sunday and into Monday.
Behind this cold front are downright frigid temperatures! Highs on Monday will struggle to reach the 40's. Lows Tuesday morning could be in the teens and 20's!
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
