PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Bay County Contractors Association is lending a helping hand to some Bay County elementary schools for the second year in a row.
Wednesday afternoon in the Bay District Schools board room, the Association presented checks to nine elementary schools where 100 percent of their students are on free and reduced lunch.
Administrators from each of the schools were on hand to accept the donations.
The money will be used to provide kids with food, clothing, or anything else they need.
For the Contractors Association, it's all about helping the kids.
"There's so many kids out there that are, by no fault of their own, maybe not as fortunate as others. You just have to have a heart for kids and, you know, it's just the right thing to do" said Matt Marshall, the owner of Marshall Brothers Industrial.
The total amount donated to the nine schools was $10,000.
