Billy Shaffer pleads not guilty to murder and armed robbery charges

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - In November of last year, 26-year-old Billy Shaffer shot and killed his former roommate according to Panama City Police.

They say Shaffer told police he broke into 48-year-old Matthew Kelley's home while he was gone, took a shotgun belonging to Kelley, and waited in a spare bedroom for him to come home.

When Kelley returned to his house, that's when Shaffer says he shot Kelley in the head.
