Blood drive set for James Vinson

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - There's a blood drive set for next Tuesday, May 23, for James "Adam" Vinson, the Bay County Road and Bridges employee who was hit by a car while he was working on Wednesday.

According to a rep with One Blood, there will be a blood bus set up from 9 am to 4 pm on Tuesday at the headquarters for Bay County Roads and Bridges at 4741 Fire Tower Road in Panama City.

One Blood tells us Bay Medical Center has the blood it currently needs for Vinson and all other patients, but it could always use more. Every blood type is needed.

Many of you have asked about Vinson's blood type. A family member has confirmed to WJHG/WECP that Vinson is A positive. But again, all blood types are needed.
