PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Democrat Bob Rackleff announced he's running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives Saturday. He made his announcement at the A-CURE MLK March in Panama City.
Rackleff marched with more than 100 people and walked with the Democratic Women's Club of Bay County. The former Leon County commissioner told us he's worried about the direction the country is going and hopes to create change if he wins.
He will be running against Congressman Neal Dunn in Florida's 2nd District.
"I'm not in politics to get rich. I have a consistent record of voting in the public's interest and not for my personal financial interest. I'm a dedicated public servant and I want to serve the people of north Florida again," said Rackleff.
The next U.S. House Representatives election is in November.
