Boil water notice affects businesses and residences along Front Beach Road

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Due to a contractor tying in a new service line, the City of Panama City Beach water supply line in certain areas along Front Beach Road will experience a temporary loss of pressure on January 10.

If you're in the affected area, you may experience discolored water approximately 24 hours after your water service has been restored.

As a precaution, everyone in these areas is advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows the water is safe to drink. The City will issue a boil water notice rescission at that time.

If you have any questions you may contact the City of Panama City Beach Utilities Department at (850) 233-5100 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday of after hours and weekends at (850) 233-5050.
