HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Bonifay K-8 School recently received a $41,000 check from the First Federal Bank of Florida.
The money was a refund from the school's construction project.
The check will be used for shade sails on two playgrounds, a pole barn for car riders during rainy weather, and water bottle fill-up stations for some of the school's water fountains.
The School Advisory Council made the ultimate decision on what would be bought.
"At the meeting, it was brought up what to do with the funds and we tried to do what would have the largest effect for the most amount of kids in the school," School Advisory Council Chairman Jonathon Davis said.
The Bonifay K-8 principal and SAC committee chairman met Tuesday to order the new equipment. They both want to thank First Federal Bank of Florida and the school board for the money.
