SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The holidays are here and what better way to set the season off right than Gulf Place's home for the holidays event!
"We come out here every year as a holiday tradition to do arts and crafts and celebrate the holidays and kick it off right," Kelly McDowell said.
For the past 15 years, artists set up booths in Santa Rosa Beach, where families can come out and make their own arts and crafts to get in the spirit.
"We're from Texas so we come down and look forward to making a new craft and taking it home with us," McDowell added.
Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the community can come enjoy getting creative by making their own starfish, designing jewelry, decorating an ornament or even creating a custom snow globe.
"We just look forward to is, we have a good time. beautiful weather, work off our turkey and just have fun," said McDowell.
They top the event off with live music and will have a special visit by St. Nick himself Saturday at 1 p.m.
