BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A woods fire in northern Bay County is keeping fire crews busy.
It started in a marshy area east of Highway 77 and north of County Road 388 East about 1 pm Monday. There's no word on what started the fire.
A fixed wing aircraft and multiple tractors from Florida Forestry Service were working with firefighters from five Bay County fire departments in battling the blaze. It's estimated to be 80 acres large.
The fire is in an area near Heartland Animal Rescue, but as of 3:20 pm, there were no evacuations of any animals.
No homes were in danger and no injuries were reported.
