PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It's a chocolate lovers dream. Table after table full of every type of chocolate dessert you could imagine and hundreds of people with a sweet tooth lined up for a taste.
The Emerald Coast Business Women's Association hosted the 19th annual 'Death by Chocolate' Tuesday at the Panama City Marina Civic Center.
The event raises money to help women go back to college.
25 groups and restaurants throughout our community showed off their decadent desserts.
There was also a silent auction.
"It's really a team effort from about 100 business women in our community that come together to plan this and they're all volunteers. Everybody that spends time for almost a year planning the event, so it's just a great time to come together for the community," said President of the Emerald Coast Business Women's Association, Morgan Burleson.
Over the 19 years, the event has raised almost $200,000 to help local women further their education.
