Fire destroys Youngstown home

YOUNGSTOWN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Fire swept through a house in Youngstown Friday afternoon.

Bay County fire officials say the fire at the home on Greenfield Road started in the attic but spread through the entire house. It even caved in most of the roof.

They say no one was home when the house caught fire but they haven't been able to locate the family's dog.

The cause of the fire is unknown but Bay County Sheriff's officials on scene believe it could have been caused by a lightning strike.
