Florida Highway Patrol: Two seriously injured in head-on collision

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - According to Florida Highway Patrol, two people from Alabama were seriously injured after a head-on collision in Jackson County Saturday morning.

Troopers said the accident happened on U.S. 231 north of Finn Road after 6 a.m.

They said a Kia Optima was headed north on U.S. 231 in the southbound lanes and a Cadillac ATS was driving south, resulting in the collision.

We're told both drivers were taken to an area hospital.

One driver was reportedly charged with driving on the wrong side of a divided highway.
