Getting the most nutrition for your money

Some guests from the UF IFAS Extension Bay County FNP Program joined us in studio to tell us about a program to help people buy nutritious and affordable food.

Cooking Matters at the Store is a guided grocery store tour that teaches low-income adults how to get the most nutrition for their food dollars.

Each tour is about one hour long and at the end of each tour participants are given a book of information and recipes, reusable grocery bag, and a $10 gift card to be used to buy one food from each food group or the ingredients from one of the recipes in the book.

You can reach UF IFAS FNP Bay County at (850) 784-6105.
