PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Some members of Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center took a dive Friday afternoon to raise money for a good cause.

The hospital held its annual dunk tank fundraiser for the March of Dimes.

Participants could pay $1 per throw or $5 dollars for six throws to try and dunk some hospital physicians and program directors.

Organizers say the March of Dimes is especially important to Gulf Coast.

Brittany Cole, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center said, "We have the area's only level three NICU, which means we see the tiniest babies. The March of Dimes helps those patients and parents get through that as well as many other important things the March of Dimes does."

Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center will also host its Boots for Babies event Saturday night at The Barn at Wicked Wheel in Panama City Beach to raise money for the March of Dimes.
