Houston airports closed due to Harvey, local flights cancelled

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Hurricane Harvey has led to the closure of George Bush Intercontinental and Hobby airports in Houston which is impacting those trying to travel to eastern Texas from Northwest Florida.

Parker McClellan from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) said all flights Houston have been cancelled through Tuesday. United Airlines flies to Bush Intercontinental and Southwest flies to Hobby.

Flights from Destin-Fort Walton Beach to Houston are also cancelled.

FlightAware's website shows three flights were scheduled to fly to Houston Monday from ECP.

Flight Aware's website shows two flights were scheduled to fly to Houston Monday from VPS.
