PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Clouds will thin out as the day goes on Friday. It will start off mostly cloudy with temperatures ranging from the uppper 30s inland to middle 40s along the immediate coastline.
By late morning or early afternoon, a lot of us will be enjoying mostly sunny skies. Daytime highs will climb into the upper 50s to right around 60 degrees.
Friday night will be clear and chilly with lows in the 30s inland and 40s along the coast.
The weekend will start off sunny with typical temperatures. Highs will reach the low to mid 60s.
Clouds are expected to increase Sunday with temperatures starting to drop again as colder air begins to move into the area. There could be some showers are we ring in the new year, but rain chances are iffy at this point.
It appears inevitable that Old Man Winter will pay a visit across much of the eastern half of the U.S. next week. Temperatures will run way below average even here. Highs could be in the 40s for several days with the possibility of freezing temperatures at night.
