Man charged in Fort Walton Beach armed robbery

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A man is behind bars in connection with an armed robbery at a Fort Walton Beach gas station.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office, James Lynch, 25, stole cash, cigarettes, and a lighter at the QV gas station on Beal Parkway back in April.

Investigators were able to track Lynch down and found the clothes worn in the robbery, as well as photos on his cell phone of a handgun like the one used in the robbery.

He was taken into custody. He is charged with an armed robbery and petty theft.
