Good Monday morning everyone!
It's a quiet start on VIPIR 7 Doppler Radar with our skies all clear.
We had a beautiful sunrise, but it was a cold one! Temperatures were below freezing this morning for just about everyone in NWFL. We only had a light wind from the east this morning and in many spots wind chills felt like the low 20s!
Get the seat warmers and car heaters going, and dress warmly out the door!
We'll be on the chilly side of seasonal today with highs only reaching the mid 50s under abundant sunshine.
A large expansive area of high pressure extends all the way up and down the east coast. And it won't budge much over the next several days. But by tomorrow and into Wednesday, it will slowly drift off to the east and as it does so we'll see our wind pattern change to a more southerly flow.
At the same time high pressure will build in aloft over the southeast and the southerly flow plus compression in the atmosphere will give us a warming pattern over the next several days.
So if you don't like the cold, relief will be on the way throughout the week. We may even see temperatures pushing the upper 70s near 80° by the end of the week!
For today, sunny skies and cold temperatures with highs in the mid 50s.
Your VIPIR 7 Day forecast will show the slow and gradual warm up to the upper 70s by the end of the week with hardly a rain chance.
